High Availability Solutions
An AIC high-availability (HA) storage server is a continuously operational system that has dual controllers (or nodes) with each controller supporting its own motherboard, CPU, memory and add-in cards. AIC's HA servers operate in an active/active configuration where instances and requests are managed concurrently by both nodes, and in case of a failure with one of the nodes, the backup node takes over the increased load immediately and the failure is unlikely to be noticed by the user. Most of the components on AIC HA servers are redundant and hot-swappable, which decreases or nearly eliminates down time if a node needs to be serviced because of a failure or a scheduled maintenance time.
